The Library of Congress (LC) classification (the system Snowden Library uses to organize books) for history are in the Ds and literature is in the Ps. You may want to browse the shelf where books on your subject are located in order to see what is available.

The general call numbers for Germanic studies can be found on the 3rd and 4th Floors of Snowden Library:

  • DD = History of Germany
  • PD = Germanic languages
  • PF = West Germanic languages
  • PT = German, Dutch, Flemish [since 1830], Afrikaans, Scandinavian, Old Norse, Old Icelandic, Old Norwegian, Modern Icelandic, Faroese, Danish, Norwegian, and Swedish literatures
