Finding Books and Using the Snowden Online Catalog

The Library of Congress (LC) classification (the system Snowden Library uses to organize books) for theater falls under the broader category of "language and literature" and begins with the letter P. The general categories for communication are:

  • PN2000-3307 = Dramatic representation. The theater
  • PN6110.5-6120 = Drama
  • PQ = French literature - Italian literature - Spanish literature - Portuguese literature (includes dramas)
  • PR = English literature (includes dramas)
  • PS = American literature (includes dramas)
  • PT = German literature - Dutch literature - Flemish literature since 1830 - Afrikaans literature - Scandinavian literature - Old Norse literature: Old Icelandic and Old Norwegian - Modern Icelandic literature - Faroese literature - Danish literature - Norwegian literature - Swedish literature (includes dramas)
